Return & Refund Policy

1. Return Eligibility

At FirstTradeIndia, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition as you received it
  • All original tags and packaging must be intact
  • The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories included
  • You must have the original purchase receipt or order confirmation
  • Certain products like perishable goods, intimate apparel, and personalized items cannot be returned

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Contact our customer service team within 7 days of receiving your order
  • Step 2: Provide your order number and reason for return
  • Step 3: We will provide you with a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions
  • Step 4: Pack the item securely in its original packaging
  • Step 5: Include the return form and original invoice copy
  • Step 6: Ship the package to our return address

3. Refund Timeline

Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
  • The refund will be credited to your original method of payment
  • You will receive the credit within 7-10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider
  • For cash on delivery orders, refunds will be processed via bank transfer

Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

4. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for:

  • Free pickup of the damaged item
  • Replacement with a new product at no additional cost
  • Full refund including shipping charges if replacement is not possible
  • Resolution within 48 hours of receiving your complaint

Please report damaged items within 24 hours of delivery for quick resolution.

5. Exchange Policy

We offer exchanges for items in the following cases:

  • Size exchange for apparel and footwear
  • Color exchange if available in stock
  • Wrong item delivered
  • Defective product received

Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the desired variant is not available, we will issue a refund or provide store credit.

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Perishable goods (food items, flowers, etc.)
  • Intimate or sanitary products
  • Personalized or custom-made products
  • Software, DVDs, and digital products
  • Gift cards and vouchers
  • Products marked as "Final Sale"
  • Underwear, swimwear, and hosiery

7. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs vary based on the reason for return:

  • Our mistake (wrong item, defective product): Free return shipping
  • Change of mind: Customer bears return shipping costs
  • Size exchange: First exchange ships free, subsequent exchanges may incur charges

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items.

8. Store Credit

In some cases, you may opt for store credit instead of a refund:

  • Store credit never expires
  • Can be used for future purchases on FirstTradeIndia
  • Bonus credit may be offered for choosing store credit option
  • Transferable to family members

9. International Returns

For international orders, return policies may vary:

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Customs duties and taxes are non-refundable
  • Return process may take 4-6 weeks
  • Some products may have restrictions based on destination country
